I have been a member for 25 years nearly, didn't renew my membership this year as one of the bar staff is extremely obnoxious (everyone knows who she is!!!)
I took my son down for his 1st 18th birthday pint, and introduced him and stated that he was 18 today and this is his first ever celebratory pint, she replied "I don't care how old he is, just show me proof of I.D (which he had)
It was his 18th birthday!!!! and he was just having a pint with his dad for the first time, No congratulations whatsoever!!!!
I won't ever be returning and with bar staff like that I don't think it will be open for much longer.
All good things come to an end I suppose I used to enjoy it down there.
